Ven Johnson Law Files Lawsuit on Behalf of Tanning Salon Victims
DETROIT, MI – Ven Johnson Law has filed a lawsuit, on behalf of a mother and daughter, against the Chili Pepper’s Tanning Salon franchise located at Van Dyke and 25 Mile Road in Shelby Township and 38-year-old Macomb man, Brian Maciborski.
The suit is related to a criminal case in which Maciborski posed as a customer nearly one year ago and installed hidden cameras in the tanning salon. The salon allegedly failed to detect the hole in the wall and the camera. The plaintiffs are a mother and daughter who were recorded by the hidden cameras while naked inside private rooms at the tanning salon.
An off-duty police officer, who was also a customer, discovered a small hole in the wall with a camera inside. Upon further investigation, Shelby Township police reported there were two additional hidden cameras at the foot of other tanning beds in the space.

Since the discovery, Maciborski was arraigned in the 41-A District Court of Sterling Heights on three counts of eavesdropping and one count for possession of analogues. This is his second offense of eavesdropping. Based on information and belief after Maciborski was arrested, Chili Pepper’s fired a manger over the incident.
Ven Johnson Law is seeking unspecified damages on behalf of the plaintiffs, including negligence, invasion of privacy and infliction of emotional distress.
