CLIENT TESTIMONIALS

REAL PEOPLE. REAL FIGHTS. REAL RESULTS.

We’ve all seen the commercials for other law firms where the victim tells their story, but the fine print says “not real clients.” That’s not what we do at Ven Johnson Law. We want you to hear from our real-life clients, in their own words, how Ven Johnson Law was in their corner when it was their time to fight.

BURT HOLT | Holt v. Reliable Transportation

Trucking Negligence | $22.6 Million Jury Verdict | Wayne County Circuit Court, June 2016

As an eighth grader Burt took on multiple jobs to support his ailing mother, working until he became not just a truck driver, but owner of his own trucking company. Burt’s story was the American dream, until he lost everything when another truck ran him over. But after five years of fighting, we finally won justice together.

KAREN GROSS-GRAVES | GROSS V. NORTHERN CONCRETE PIPE, INC.

Industrial Injury/General Negligence | Settlement: Confidential | Oakland County Circuit Court, December 2021

Karen’s husband Jerry was a crane inspector. Shortly after their one-year anniversary, Jerry died in the middle of an inspection because the plant continued operating cranes above his head. The company blamed Jerry for his death from the beginning, but after a difficult search we located the safety inspector whose testimony made the case.

Vincent Doa | Vincent Doa v. Lower Huron Chemical & Supply Co., Inc., Nicholas Lopez, and CommFleet Inc.

Trucking Negligence | $8.1 Million Jury Verdict | Oakland County Circuit Court, November 2019

Vincent was traveling down I-96 when an entire wheel assembly broke off a negligently-maintained commercial truck and came flying over the median at him. Vincent sustained traumatic brain injuries in the accident, and survived with even more invisible scars in the form of PTSD. The company’s defense called him a liar — said he was faking it. But after Ven Johnson Law made their case, eight out of eight jurors agreed: Vincent deserved justice.

Carly Burgess | Burgess vs. City of Dearborn

General Negligence | Wrongful Death | $1 Million Settlement | Oakland County Circuit Court, April 2023

10-year-old Carson loved to swim, so his mother Carly took him and his brothers to the lake at Camp Dearborn. Tragically, Carson died from blunt force trauma to the chest after he fell from the top of a jungle float and struck a protruding ladder directly under the jumping point. So many mistakes were made, but thanks to Governmental Immunity, holding the city of Dearborn accountable would be an uphill battle… until Carly hired Ven Johnson Law.
