Ven Johnson Law Fights for Survivors of Sexual Assault

DETROIT, MI – On behalf of several male clients, Ven Johnson Law recently filed a notice of intent to file claims against the University of Michigan, the Board of Regents of the University of Michigan, the estate of Robert Anderson and any other employees, agents and representatives that may be identified in the future.

Potential claims include sexual assault, battery, and harassment; negligence; negligent supervision; and intentional infliction of emotional distress. The claims arise out of sexual assault and battery, molestation, and harassment of clients by Dr. Robert Anderson, an employee of the University of Michigan from 1967-2003.

“We believe any victim of sexual abuse must be fiercely represented,” said attorney Thomas Waun, managing partner, Ven Johnson Law’s Flint and Grand Rapids offices. “Sexual assault can have a lifetime of psychological, emotional, and physical effects on a survivor. The courage to come forward should be commended, and we will fight to hold those accountable and help bring some closure for these men.”
