SAMUEL H. PIETSCH

Samuel H. Pietsch is a senior trial attorney at Ven Johnson Law, where he represents individuals and families in personal injury litigation. With more than 45 years of experience, he focuses on cases involving serious injury, wrongful death and motor vehicle accidents.

Over the course of his legal career, Sam has secured more than $150 million in verdicts and settlements, resolved more than 3,000 personal injury cases and obtained numerous million-dollar-plus awards in civil cases dating back to 1979. His work spans matters involving automobile negligence, product liability, police misconduct and medical malpractice, often in cases where the stakes are significant and liability is contested, and he has represented clients in Illinois, Ohio, Virginia, North Carolina and California.

Before joining Ven Johnson Law, Sam served as an attorney at Matz and Pietsch, P.C.

Sam has appeared in circuit and probate courts throughout Michigan's Lower Peninsula, handling cases from initial filing through resolution, with a focus on building strategy and positioning matters for trial.

Sam earned a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Public Health Administration from the University of Michigan. He received his Juris Doctor from Wayne State University Law School.

Sam has also contributed to his community through athletics, serving as a sports and fitness coach in his home city for more than 30 years. Sam is also a certified fitness instructor and a classically trained musician with a background in musical performance.
