Biography

Christin DewBerry is an associate attorney at Ven Johnson Law, PLC, where she is dedicated to advocating for clients in civil rights, auto accidents, and other general negligence claims. A native of Oakland County, Christin's passion for law was sparked early in her academic journey. Christin attended Tennessee State in Nashville, Tennessee. While in Nashville she interned with the Tennessee State Legislature. It was through this internship that she discovered the power of lawmaking to shape lives and communities, solidifying her decision to pursue a legal career. In recognition of her dedication, she was honored with Senate Resolution (SR52), a testament to her hard work and commitment. Christin graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tennessee State University before returning to Michigan. After returning to Michigan, Christin attended the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where she made a lasting impact both inside and outside the classroom. She clerked for the Honorable Judge Denise Page Hood at the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan, gaining invaluable experience in federal law. Her leadership abilities were also on full display during law school, as she served as President of the Student Bar Association and as the student member of the Faculty Recruitment Committee. In her final year, Christin was chosen by her peers to deliver the commencement speech for the Law Class of 2024, marking the culmination of her legal education. Christin passed the Bar Exam in July 2024. Dedicated to supporting her clients through their difficult personal injuries, Christin approaches each case with care, consideration, and genuine passion to get due resolution for the client. In addition to her work at Ven Johnson Law, PLC, she is committed to giving back to the legal community as a mentor to current students at Detroit Mercy School of Law. Outside of her legal career, Christin enjoys spending time with family and friends, attending sporting events, and exploring new restaurants.
