CARLYE REYNOLDS

Carlye Reynolds is an attorney and counselor at Ven Johnson Law, where she represents clients in personal injury and civil rights litigation, with a focus on cases involving sexual abuse, assault and institutional accountability.

Carlye has played a key role in high-profile cases on behalf of survivors, including serving as co-counsel in securing a $138.7 million settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice for individuals abused by Dr. Larry Nassar. She also played a key role in obtaining a $2.95 million settlement for a client injured in a crash involving a police officer.

Committed to the fight for justice, Carlye strives for transparency and holds both perpetrators of violent acts and the institutions that protect them accountable.

Born and raised in the mountains of northeast Georgia, Carlye earned her Bachelor of Science, graduating cum laude from the University of Georgia, where she was a member of the women's soccer team. She received her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law, where she participated in the Chance at Childhood Clinic and the Geoffrey Fieger Trial Practice Institute, and served as a peer mentor and research assistant.

During law school, Carlye clerked for Magistrate Judge David R. Grand of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and later clerked for a Michigan-based law firm, specializing in sexual assault litigation.

Outside of her legal practice, Carlye enjoys exploring new places with her husband, watching and attending sporting events, and traveling to see friends and family.
