JONATHAN “JR” FEILD

Jonathan “JR” Feild is an Associated Attorney at Johnson Law, PLC. where he leverages his extensive legal experience to navigate complex cases, advocating for personal injury clients and pursuing justice on their behalf.

Before joining Ven Johnson Law, JR served as counsel and an embedded attorney for the Shelby County Attorney’s Office in Memphis, Tennessee. In this capacity, he provided strategic legal advice on a wide array of issues including contracts, employment law, ethics, and risk management. He was instrumental in developing and updating court policies and procedures to ensure legal compliance, and he effectively represented the court in various legal proceedings.

Earlier in his career, JR worked as a Prosecutor Attorney for the City of Memphis, where he managed court dockets, conducted trials, and negotiated settlements for municipal code violations. His tenure in private practice at the Feild Firm and the Law Offices of Darrell J. O’Neal saw him representing clients in personal injury, criminal defense, estate planning, and business law matters, showcasing his versatility and commitment to client advocacy.

JR earned his Juris Doctor graduating cum laude from Florida A&M University College of Law where he received the highest grade in Payment Systems/Commercial Paper. There he held leadership roles as Co-Chair of the SBA Peer Tutoring program and as a member of the NBLSA Mock Trial Team. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from Lane College where he graduated magna cum laude, was honored with the Lane College Tradition Award, and received recognition in Who’s Who Among Colleges and Universities.

JR is admitted to practice in the Supreme Court of Tennessee (2012), District of Columbia Court of Appeals (2014), United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee (2014), United States Supreme Court (2023), and the State Bar of Michigan (2025).

An active member of the legal and local community, JR is a Life Member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., a member of William E. Eddins Lodge #377, PHA since 2007, and a Fellow of the New Memphis Leadership Institute since 2014.
