ATTORNEY AND COUNSELOR
Amelia was admitted to the Michigan State Bar on December 2, 2022. She follows in the footsteps of her Great Grandfather Eugene Black, a Michigan Supreme Court Justice famous for fighting against governmental immunity and zealously pursuing justice.
She first joined Ven Johnson Law in 2018 as a law clerk while studying for her Bachelor’s at Grand Valley State University, and continued at the Flint office while completing her Juris Doctorate at Michigan State University College of Law. During her time in this role she provided essential support on hundreds of auto injury, personal injury, sexual assault, governmental immunity, and civil rights cases, but more importantly, to our clients.
At MSU, Amelia discovered her passion for civil litigation after enrolling in the Trial practice Institute and Civil Rights Clinic. Now as an Associate Attorney she puts that passion into practice fighting for her clients.
In her free time, Amelia likes to spend time with her husband, Christian, and their two Bernese Mountain Dogs, Milo and Levi.
